Maneki Neko Bell Orange with 3 Bells 25 cm

The Maneki Neko Bell Orange with 3 Bells 25 cm is a hanging talisman with a figure of the Japanese lucky cat Maneki Neko. The cat has a white face and a orange body and holds the characters 招財 (zhao cai) — "attract wealth" — on its chest. Below, colourful beads and little fish figures are strung on cords, and the pendant ends with three ringing gold-coloured bells. At the top there is a red cord loop for hanging. Length about 25 cm, weight about 95 g.

Who is Maneki Neko

Maneki Neko ("beckoning cat") is a Japanese good-luck talisman that greets guests in shops, restaurants and offices all over the world. According to legend, a cat beckoning a traveller with its paw saved him from misfortune, and since then the cat figure has been believed to bring luck, customers and prosperity. The characters 招財 on the cat are a wish for money to flow in, and in Chinese symbolism fish stand for abundance.

Orange is the colour of joy, energy and communication. An orange Maneki Neko symbolises a good mood, friendship and luck in new beginnings.

Why the cat has bells

In Feng Shui the ringing of bells "wakes up" Qi energy and draws the attention of luck: the sound announces that a guest has arrived, and with them new opportunities. The Maneki Neko bell symbolically:

attracts clients and customers;
brings luck in trade and business;
beckons money and prosperity into the home;
protects the entrance from unfavourable energy;
creates a joyful, festive mood.

Where to hang it

The most popular place is the front door of a home, shop, salon or office: the bells ring every time the door opens. The talisman is also hung by the cash desk, on a window, on the sales floor or in the wealth area in the south-east of a room.

Care

Wipe the figure with a soft dry cloth and protect it from knocks and falls. The bells and beads can be freshened up with a dry brush.

As a gift

The Maneki Neko bell is a cheerful gift for a shop or café owner, for a business opening, a housewarming or simply for a cat lover, as a wish for luck, customers and prosperity.
