Wind Chime 6 Tubes RB0010 Lilac 80 cm

The Wind Chime 6 Tubes RB0010 Lilac 80 cm is a metal wind chime: 6 lilac metal tubes hang from a wooden ring top with a warm copper tone, with a striker in the centre and a rounded wooden sail at the bottom to catch the wind. Length including the hanger is about 80 cm, weight about 550 g.

This large wind chime, about 80 cm long, is designed for spacious rooms, a terrace, gazebo or garden. Long tubes produce a deep, rich sound with a long sustain, reminiscent of a bell.

In Feng Shui lilac is associated with prosperity, inspiration and spiritual growth. Delicate lilac tubes give the wind chime a romantic look — ideal for a veranda, garden or cosy living room.

How the wind chime sounds

At the slightest breath of wind the sail swings the striker, which touches the tubes. Tubes of different lengths sound different notes, so the chime is not harsh but melodic and shimmering — hence the name "wind music".

Wind chimes in Feng Shui

In Feng Shui wind chimes are used to "wake up" stagnant Qi energy: the melodic ringing disperses unfavourable energy and fills the space with freshness. Metal chimes belong to the Metal element, so they are traditionally hung in the western and north-western parts of the home — the areas of creativity, children and helpful people.

A wind chime symbolically helps to:

disperse stagnant energy;
attract luck and favourable events;
create a calm, harmonious atmosphere;
relieve tension after a working day;
fill the home with pleasant sounds.

Where to hang it

Hang the wind chime where there is a light movement of air: by an open window, on a balcony, veranda, terrace, in a gazebo or by the front door. In Feng Shui, chimes are not hung directly above a bed, a work chair or a dining table.

Care

Wipe the tubes and top with a soft dry cloth. If the chime hangs outdoors, take it down in strong wind or thunderstorms so the tubes do not get tangled. Gently straighten any twisted strings.

As a gift

A wind chime is a beautiful, "musical" gift for a housewarming, a birthday, a summer cottage or a country house. It is given as a wish for harmony, luck and a good mood.
