Altar Figurine “Archangel Michael”, Large

Archangel Michael is the leader of the heavenly host in the Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions; his name means Who is like God. The figurine shows him winged, with a sword and a shield bearing a cross.

Meaning in tradition. In the Book of Revelation Michael casts the dragon down from heaven, an image of the victory of good over evil. He is honoured as the protector of the faithful, guardian at the gates and patron of warriors, and his sword has become a symbol of the power that cuts through darkness and lies.

Esoteric properties:

• gives protection from evil and negative influences
• strengthens courage, resolve and strength of spirit
• helps cleanse space and thoughts
