The Tassel Pendant Six Coins in a Line Bronze, 22 cm is a compact money amulet: six bronze-coloured Chinese coins with square holes are strung in a line on a red cord. At the top there is a loop and a braided red Chinese knot, and at the bottom a red tassel. Length about 22 cm, weight about 7 g.

Why six coins

Chinese coins are the main money symbol of Feng Shui: the circle stands for Heaven and the square hole for Earth. The number six (六, liu) sounds like 流, "to flow", so six coins symbolise a smooth, unobstructed flow of money and luck in business. By tradition the red cord and tassel "activate" the amulet.
