Series Buddhist Gods No. 16 Chakra Samvara

Chakrasamvara, or Samvara, has two main forms: with two or with twelve arms. In both cases, he is depicted in conjunction with the spiritual wife of Vajravarahi (Skt. Vajravarahi, Tib. rdo rje phag mo - Dorje Pakmo). Their union is a symbol of the unity of emptiness and bliss (Tib. bde stong dbyer med). Practice is the only way to discover the true meaning of a symbol.

Correct spiritual practice leads a person to inner bliss from the flow of vital elements through energy channels. By discovering this bliss in oneself, which brings peace and lightness to the mind and body, the practitioner prepares himself for samadhi. Through samadhi he reaches the highest wisdom, he reaches the source of deep awareness, whose essence is the radiant Void.
