The Shiva Lingam is one of the most important and revered symbols in the Hindu tradition, embodying the primordial principle of existence, the formless and all-encompassing nature of God, as well as the unity of the masculine principle of Shiva and the feminine principle of Shakti (Yoni). This sacred symbol is associated with the ideas of creation, renewal, harmony, fertility, prosperity, and spiritual transformation.
This Shiva Lingam is made of natural black obsidian—a volcanic stone prized in spiritual practices for its protective and purifying properties. Obsidian is traditionally used to work with inner energy, release negative states, and deepen meditative practices. The base of the piece is made of brass, giving the structure stability, durability, and a noble appearance.
Above the lingam is a kalasha—a ritual vessel used for offerings of water or milk. During worship, the liquid slowly washes over the lingam, symbolizing purification, blessing, and the continuous flow of divine energy. This ritual (abhisheka) is a traditional form of worship to Shiva and, according to belief, promotes inner purification, harmonizing space, and spiritual growth.
The Shiva Lingam is traditionally offered flowers, incense, water, or milk, accompanied by mantras or meditation. This item is suitable for use in home altars, temples, yoga and meditation spaces, as well as in esoteric and spiritual practices.
