Butterfly Wind Chime 5 Tubes G-17 70 cm

The Butterfly Wind Chime 5 Tubes G-17 70 cm is a metal wind chime with butterflies: five silver metal tubes hang from a dark wooden bar with a metal butterfly soaring above it, small butterflies hang between the tubes, and a red wooden sail at the bottom catches the wind. Length including the hanger is about 70 cm, weight about 120 g.

About 70 cm long, it is a versatile size: the wind chime looks good by a window, in a hallway or on a veranda, and the longer tubes sound softer and ring for longer.

Silver tubes belong to the Metal element, which governs clarity, order, creativity and the help of influential people. Their light shine suits almost any interior.

How the wind chime sounds

At the slightest breath of wind the sail swings the striker, which touches the tubes. Tubes of different lengths sound different notes, so the chime is not harsh but melodic and shimmering — hence the name "wind music".

Wind chimes in Feng Shui

In Feng Shui wind chimes are used to "wake up" stagnant Qi energy: the melodic ringing disperses unfavourable energy and fills the space with freshness. Metal chimes belong to the Metal element, so they are traditionally hung in the western and north-western parts of the home — the areas of creativity, children and helpful people.

A wind chime symbolically helps to:

disperse stagnant energy;
attract luck and favourable events;
create a calm, harmonious atmosphere;
relieve tension after a working day;
fill the home with pleasant sounds.

Where to hang it

Hang the wind chime where there is a light movement of air: by an open window, on a balcony, veranda, terrace, in a gazebo or by the front door. In Feng Shui, chimes are not hung directly above a bed, a work chair or a dining table.

Care

Wipe the tubes and top with a soft dry cloth. If the chime hangs outdoors, take it down in strong wind or thunderstorms so the tubes do not get tangled. Gently straighten any twisted strings.

As a gift

A wind chime is a beautiful, "musical" gift for a housewarming, a birthday, a summer cottage or a country house. It is given as a wish for harmony, luck and a good mood.
