Pair of Wood-Look Pi Yao on Pedestals, 23 cm — a large pair of wood-look polystone Pi Yao seated on pedestals inscribed 招財龍貅 ("Pi Yao that attracts wealth") and 守財龍貅 ("Pi Yao that guards wealth"). Size — 18×12×23 cm, weight — about 2380 g.

What a Pi Yao is

The Pi Yao (貔貅, pixiu) is a mythical winged beast with a dragon's head and a lion's body and one of the strongest money talismans in Feng Shui. According to legend, the Pi Yao feeds on gold and silver and never gives back what it has "swallowed", so it symbolises not only the inflow of money but also keeping it. It is also a fierce protector against unfavourable energy.

The Pi Yao symbolically:

attracts money and wealth;
helps keep and increase savings;
protects the home and business;
brings luck in trade.

Where to place it

The Pi Yao is placed facing the front door or a window — "so money comes in" — in the south-eastern wealth area, by a cash desk or on a desk. It is not placed facing its owner or in the bedroom.

As a gift

The Pi Yao is a gift for an entrepreneur, a business opening or a housewarming, with a wish for wealth and protection.
