Selene Moon Goddess Altar Statue

Selene (Σελήνη) in ancient Greek mythology is the goddess of the Moon, the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, the sister of Helios (the Sun) and Eos (the Dawn). She was often depicted in a chariot drawn by a pair of horses, riding around the night sky. Selene is also known for her love for the mortal Endymion.
