Thor and Jormungandr Altar Statue

The meeting took place when Thor went fishing with the giant Himir, he prepared a strong fishing line and a large hook, on which he put a bull's head - and Jormungandr took the bait. Feeling the hook dig into the sky, Midgardsorm rushed so that Thor's fists hit the side of the boat. Thor prepared for a long struggle, but the bottom of the boat could not stand it and broke. Then Thor planted his feet directly on the seabed and pulled the World Serpent to the very side. Æsir and the World Serpent looked at each other with hatred, and poison dripped from Jormungandr's mouth. Thor was about to kill the Serpent with his hammer, but Himir cut the fishing line that stretched over the side of the boat, and the Serpent plunged into the sea. Thor let Mjolnir after the Serpent and, they say, even crushed its head. But still, the Serpent is still alive and lies at the bottom of the sea.
