The Plum Blossom Pendant of 12 Coins with Tassel, 36 cm is a flower-shaped money amulet: bronze-coloured Chinese coins with square holes are arranged in a circle like a plum blossom and wrapped in red cord radiating from the centre like rays. At the top there is a braided red loop with gold-coloured beads, and at the bottom a gold-coloured bead and a full red tassel. Length about 36 cm, weight about 37 g.

The plum blossom in Chinese tradition

The meihua plum (梅花) blooms at the end of winter, often in the snow, so it symbolises resilience, hope and new life.
