Tree of Happiness and Wealth with Red Tourmaline

The Tree of Happiness and Wealth with red tourmaline is an expressive decorative piece shaped like a miniature tree with a spreading crown of natural stones in a soft pinkish-red shade. Thin twisted branches emphasise the natural shape of the tree, while the translucent stones make it a warm and delicate accent in any interior. The tree stands in a clear glass jar filled with red tourmaline chips.

Red tourmaline is valued for its soft pinkish-red colour and gentle translucency, which makes the stones seem to glow from within. In stone symbolism it is associated with love, warmth, joy and an open heart. Combined with the image of a tree, it becomes a harmonious symbol of growth, moving forward and prosperity.

Properties of red tourmaline

Tourmaline is a complex borosilicate mineral. Its name comes from the Sinhalese word "turamali", used in Ceylon for multicoloured gemstones. Pink and red tourmalines are known as rubellite, and their warm colour comes from natural traces of manganese.

Tourmaline is a hard stone (7–7.5 on the Mohs scale), so it keeps its colour and lustre well. A curious feature of the mineral is that it becomes electrically charged when heated and attracts dust and small particles; it was once even called the "Ceylon magnet". In stone symbolism, red tourmaline is associated with:

love and tenderness;
joy and zest for life;
the warmth of home;
openness and trust;
gentle, creative energy.

Because of these meanings, red tourmaline is considered a stone for those who value warm relationships and want to fill their space with joy and comfort.

The meaning of red tourmaline in Feng Shui

In Feng Shui tradition, the tree is associated with growth, development, vitality and renewal. Pinkish-red shades belong to the Fire element and symbolise love and warm relationships, so the red tourmaline tree can be used as a symbolic decoration linked to family harmony, joy and well-being.

Such a tree symbolically combines:

luck and well-being;
growth and development;
love and harmony in relationships;
joy and zest for life;
warmth and comfort;
prosperity and new opportunities.

The soft pinkish-red crown makes the tree especially suitable for a bedroom, living room or any interior where you want to add a sense of warmth and romance.

How to use

The red tourmaline Tree of Happiness can be placed on a desk, chest of drawers, shelf, cabinet or coffee table. It suits a home, office, study, shop, salon or any workspace.

In Feng Shui practice, the red tourmaline tree can be placed in the south-western part of a room, which is associated with love, marriage and partnership. It can also stand in the living room or wherever you want to symbolically emphasise warmth and harmony at home.

To create an oriental-style composition, you can place Chinese coins, decorative ingots, a wealth bowl or other Feng Shui symbols nearby.

The tree does not have to be used only as a talisman. Thanks to its natural stones and unusual shape, it works perfectly as a standalone interior decoration.

Care

The tree is a decorative composition made of stones, so it does not need watering.

To care for it, simply:

remove dust with a soft dry cloth or a small brush;
do not use abrasive cleaning products;
avoid strong impacts on the stones;
do not place the tree where it can easily be knocked or tipped over;
gently straighten the metal branches if needed.

This care will help preserve the delicate colour of the stones and the neat shape of the composition.

A Tree of Happiness as a gift

The Tree of Happiness and Wealth with red tourmaline makes a beautiful symbolic gift for a birthday, housewarming, anniversary, business opening or professional holiday.

It can be given as a wish for love, joy, warmth, well-being and prosperity. Red tourmaline makes the composition especially tender and romantic — a lovely gift for someone dear to you.
