Altar Figurine “Dryad”, Large

A dryad is a tree nymph of ancient Greek mythology, guardian of forests, groves and sacred oaks. The figurine shows her surrounded by branches and leaves, like the very soul of a living tree.

Meaning in tradition. The Greeks believed that a dryad's life was bound to her tree: as long as the tree stood, the nymph lived. Cutting down sacred groves was therefore a grave offence, and dryads received offerings for fruitful gardens and a prosperous home.

Esoteric properties:

• strengthens the bond with nature and its cycles
• helps restore energy and inner peace
• supports growth, personal, spiritual and material
• protects the home, garden and plants

How to use. Place the figurine on a nature altar with living plants, cones, branches and stones and use it in grounding practices and at seasonal festivals.

The figurine is made of polystone in an antique bronze finish, with a name plate “Dryad” on the base. Complete your altar with magic candles and incense.
