Bonsai Tree of Happiness and Wealth with Rock Crystal No. 1

The Bonsai Tree of Happiness and Wealth with rock crystal No. 1 is a decorative piece in the style of Japanese bonsai: a strong curved trunk with a forked top rises from a low round pot in a deep dark red colour, with green "moss" at its base. The crown is made of natural rock crystal stones fixed on thin twisted copper-coloured branches.

The trunk and pot are made of polystone with marble chips. Polystone is a modern composite material based on polymer resin and crushed stone: it captures every bend of the trunk, the texture of the bark and the "moss" at the base, while the marble chips give the piece a pleasant weight and stability. The expressive forked trunk and wide crown make this tree especially striking.

Rock crystal is a stone as clear as ice that plays beautifully with light. In stone symbolism it is associated with purity, clarity of mind and harmony, and combined with the image of a bonsai tree it becomes a symbol of calm, steady growth and prosperity.

Properties of rock crystal

Rock crystal is the colourless, transparent variety of quartz — pure silicon dioxide. The name comes from the Greek krystallos, "ice": in antiquity people believed rock crystal was ice frozen forever.

Rock crystal has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, so the crown stones do not scratch in normal use and keep their clarity and lustre for a long time.

Bowls, seals and crystal balls have long been carved from rock crystal, and today quartz plates keep time in quartz watches. In stone symbolism, rock crystal is associated with:

purity and clarity;
harmony and balance;
focus on your goals;
amplifying good intentions;
bright, positive energy.

The meaning of a rock crystal bonsai tree in Feng Shui

In Eastern tradition, bonsai symbolises harmony, patience and longevity: a small tree that grows slowly but surely. In Feng Shui, the tree belongs to the Wood element — growth and abundance — while clear crystal belongs to the Metal element, linked to clarity, order and help from others. Together they form a symbol of prosperity that grows gradually and reliably.

Such a tree symbolically combines:

luck and well-being;
growth and development;
harmony and patience;
clarity and pure intentions;
longevity and stability;
prosperity and new opportunities.

Where to place it

In Feng Shui, a rock crystal tree is placed in the western part of a room — the area of creativity and children — or in the north-west, the area of helpful people and patrons. Thanks to its wide, spreading crown, bonsai No. 1 works well as a standalone accent on a chest of drawers, console or coffee table, where it can be seen from all sides.

Care

The tree does not need watering. Dust is easily removed from the crown with a soft brush, and the trunk and pot can be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners, do not immerse the piece in water and protect it from falls — polystone is strong but can chip from a hard knock. If needed, the metal branches can be gently straightened.
