Altar Figurine “Dagda”

The Dagda is the Good God of Irish mythology, father and chief of the Tuatha Dé Danann. The figurine shows him with the magic cauldron of plenty and the harp, the main treasures of his myth.

Meaning in tradition. No one left the Dagda's cauldron hungry, his harp changed the seasons and stirred joy, sorrow and sleep, and his club took life with one end and restored it with the other. The Irish honoured the Dagda as the god of fertility, wisdom, generosity and protection.
