Tree of Happiness and Wealth with Labradorite on a Stone Base

The Tree of Happiness and Wealth with labradorite on a stone base is a handcrafted decorative piece: a miniature tree with a crown of natural stones in grey and smoky shades is mounted on a solid piece of natural stone. The labradorite base flashes blue and greenish in the light, giving the piece a truly mysterious look. The base is a large raw piece of labradorite with a natural play of colour, so the tree stands steadily on any surface.

Labradorite is one of the most striking natural stones: in ordinary light it looks grey and restrained, but at certain angles it flashes with vivid blue, green and golden reflections. In stone symbolism it is associated with intuition, protection, inspiration and positive change.

Properties of labradorite

Labradorite is a mineral of the feldspar group. Its famous play of colour is called labradorescence: light reflects off extremely thin internal layers of the stone and creates flashes that resemble the northern lights. The stone is named after the Labrador Peninsula in Canada, where it was described in the 18th century.

Labradorite has a hardness of 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. The colour flashes are best seen on broken and polished surfaces, which makes a raw base especially expressive.

According to a northern legend, labradorite holds the frozen light of the aurora. In stone symbolism it is associated with:

intuition and insight;
protection from negativity;
inspiration and creativity;
positive change;
inner strength.

The meaning of labradorite in Feng Shui

In Feng Shui, the grey-blue shades of labradorite are linked to the Water and Metal elements, which symbolise wisdom, the flow of prosperity and clarity. The labradorite tree is considered a symbol of protecting a space and support in new beginnings.

What a tree on a stone symbolises

In Feng Shui tradition, the natural stone at the base symbolises support and a solid foundation, while the tree stands for growth and development. Together they form a symbol of prosperity growing on a reliable basis. Such a tree symbolically combines:

luck and well-being;
growth and development;
intuition and wisdom;
protection from negativity;
inspiration and positive change;
prosperity and new opportunities.

Where to place it

In Feng Shui, the labradorite tree can be placed in the northern part of a room, linked to career and life path, or in the north-west — the area of helpful people and patrons. Put it where light falls on the base so that the stone's colour flashes are visible.

The tree on a stone is compact and looks great on a desk, bookshelf, windowsill, chest of drawers or in a display case. It can stand on its own or together with other Feng Shui symbols — Chinese coins, ingots or a wealth bowl.

Care

The tree does not need watering. Simply remove dust from time to time with a soft brush or a dry cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners and protect the stones from strong impacts. If needed, the metal branches can be gently straightened.

A Tree of Happiness on a stone as a gift

The Tree of Happiness and Wealth with labradorite on a stone base is a symbolic and long-lasting gift for a birthday, housewarming, anniversary, business opening or professional holiday. This mysterious tree with a shimmering base makes an unusual gift for a creative person as a wish for inspiration, luck and prosperity.
