What the nine-tailed fox symbolises

The nine-tailed fox (九尾狐, jiuweihu) is an ancient figure of Chinese mythology: in early texts its appearance was a good omen foretelling peace and prosperity. Later the shape-shifting fox entered Japanese (kitsune) and Korean (kumiho) legends. In Chinese tradition the number nine symbolises completeness and longevity; in Feng Shui the nine-tailed fox is linked to Period 9 (2024–2043) and used as a talisman of charm, luck and prosperity.

The figurine symbolically:

attracts luck and prosperity;
enhances charm and attractiveness;
symbolises wisdom and resourcefulness;
is linked to the energy of Period 9.

Where to place it

The figurine is placed in the southern fame area, the south-western relationships area, on a desk or on a shelf in the living room.
